Birds and flying animals
Last verified 2026-10-14
AnimalsTwelve entries have Habitat - Flying housing. The full roster has 14 bird entries; Common Ostrich and African Penguin are the two with terrestrial housing.
Housing is taken from Frontier's enclosure fields, not inferred from land area. The parakeet's 6 m² land requirement does not make it an Exhibit animal.

Build for flight space
The official housing guide requires a mesh roof for aviaries. Check flight area, land, shelter, temperature and species needs separately. Shoebill lists 200 m² land plus 50 m² flight area; Long-Tailed Parakeet lists 6 m² land plus 6 m² flight area.
Butterflies use Exhibit housing. European Peacock is the butterfly Aglais io, not a peafowl entry.
