Can you turn off path collision?

Guides

A collision-off setting has not been verified from the official guides checked here. That is not proof no such option exists. Ctrl is documented as Disable Path Joins, not collision removal.

Source-based instructions checked on 14 October 2026, not a hands-on play report. Menu names follow Frontier's English guides; custom bindings and platform layouts may differ.

Use the documented path controls

Open Paths and choose Line, Curve, Draw or Stamp. Adjust Width, Working Height and snapping; Advanced Mode exposes more tool options. On default PC controls, Ctrl disables automatic path joins and Z creates a right-angle join.

If the problem is an unwanted connection, try the documented join control. If the preview is invalid, change the segment's position or height and compare the preview before placing. This is a diagnostic check, not a verified fix for every obstruction error.

What remains unverified

No exact collision-off menu path or universal cause for an Obstructed error has been established here. Do not infer it from Ctrl, null barriers or hidden scenery. A screenshot of the current error and path settings is needed to identify a specific failure.

Questions people ask

Does Ctrl turn collision off?

No. Frontier labels it Disable Path Joins; that does not establish a collision bypass.

Is there definitely no collision toggle?

The checked official guides do not establish one. Its absence from those guides is not proof the game has no such setting.
