How to make money
Last verified 2026-10-14
GuidesCash comes from entrance tickets, shops and restaurants, donations and Quick Trading animals. Conservation Credits are a separate currency.
Source-based instructions checked on 14 October 2026, not a hands-on play report. Menu names follow Frontier's English guides; custom bindings and platform layouts may differ.
Review seasonal finances
Open Management, then Finances. Compare income and expenses for the current and previous season. Identify the largest gap before changing prices or expanding.
Inspect ticket pricing at the Zoo Entrance Info Panel and shop performance under Management facilities. Satisfy hunger, thirst, toilets, energy and education needs so guests can stay and spend. There is no verified universal best ticket price.
Use donations and control costs
Place Donation Bins around habitats, exhibits and aquariums: the management guide explicitly names them as an income lever. Bonus-pack bin designs do not make the donation mechanism purely decorative.
Delay expansions you cannot fund and review high-running-cost facilities, rides and scenery. Do not cut required staff, animal welfare or social groups just to force a positive balance. Official species food figures are not a measured full-group budget.
Borrow only with a repayment plan
Open Management, Finances, Loans. Compare amount and interest, then Take Loan if seasonal repayments are affordable. The same screen offers Pay off Loan. A loan is debt, not profit or a money cheat.
