What is the Planet Hub?
Last verified 2026-10-14
FeaturesIn Planet Zoo 2, Planet Hub connects your zoos and Wildlife Reserves and tracks progress, research and conservation. It is available in Career, Sandbox and Franchise.
Based on Frontier's modes, research and reserve guides, checked 14 October 2026. This is a source-based explanation of the hub, not a multiplayer or playtesting report.
Progress across zoos and reserves
The hub provides the overview of your projects. Completed research persists across the Hub, so it is not a requirement to repeat completed topics in every zoo.
Franchise offers connected zoos and reserves. Conservation Credits are shared across the Franchise, while each zoo has its own Cash. Sandbox and Career also use Planet Hub; their mode rules still differ.
How animal release connects to the hub
Prepare animals through Animal Trading & Storage, then Release Groups. Research must unlock the appropriate species/group, and a reserve must have a suitable ecosystem for the intended release.
After checking and finalising the group, choose Release to Wildlife Reserve and travel through Planet Hub when needed. Finalisation cannot be undone. Quick Release instead gives immediate Conservation Credits; guest Donation Bins provide zoo Cash.
Community challenge snapshot
The official challenge page checked on 14 October 2026 marks Bred 'n' Water In Progress. Green Green Grassland is a later Release to Wild challenge scheduled for 27 October 2026, not the first active challenge.
Use the official challenge page for changing status. Planet Hub and asynchronous trading do not provide a shared live zoo or co-op session.
